Every year there comes a Sunday to top all Sundays. It's filled with football, nachos, rivalry, enthusiasm and the sweet, sweet taste of victory...if you're rooting for the winning team that is. Ah yes, there's nothing quite like Commercial Sunday in America.
Now, obviously Audi of Charlotte knows that the main event of this anticipated day is not in fact the stream of advertisements. It's all about the game. But as Sunday turns to Monday and the weeks pass, the Super Bowl football game fades away. The lauded commercials, however, remain. One such spot we'd like to bring your attention to is "Vampire Party" by Audi.
Unlike the majority of automotive ads that made their debut on Super Bowl Sunday, our favorite luxury automaker's commercial focused in on an innovative Audi part rather than one specific new Audi model. Through a humorous skit in which a gang of partying vampires bursts into ashes upon seeing Audi LED headlights, the automaker shows the power of its unique light technology. Summing up the ad, a message across the screen reads, "Daylight, now in a headlight."1
Not only does this Audi Ad provide a comical tribute to our society's obsession with blood-suckers, it sheds light (excuse our pun) on an aspect of driving that's usually underrated. Back in 2008, the German automaker revolutionized the way we see at night with its light emitting diode (LED) technology. Not only do the LED headlamps found on Audi vehicles push light further than conventional lighting, they re-create the light of day by hitting around 5,500 on the Kelvin temperature scale.
In order to witness the LED lighting miracle for yourself, Audi of Charlotte suggests you do one of two things: check out the "Vampire Party" commercial on YouTube or stop by 9300 E. Independence Blvd. Matthews, NC 28105 and test drive an Audi vehicle.
