Everyone knows October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and all of us at Audi of Charlotte really wanted to give back in a major way to Charlotte’s breast cancer organizations. Back in October 2016, here’s how we did it:
Sponsored by Cellar Dwellers, the Women Vintners event for Sun City is an event held for female-owned wineries. Jim and Anna Fench (owners of Cellar Dwellers) wanted to help build awareness for breast cancer and the GoJenGo Foundation during it. GoJenGo is a non-profit that is dedicated to providing financial assistance and emotional support to individuals and families (in North and South Carolina) who are battling and/or recovering from breast cancer.
Of course, we wanted to help in any way possible. We decided to have two of our Brand Specialists, Mark Hurst and Richard Gouhin, bring in a custom-wrapped GoJenGo pink Audi Q5. We agreed for every signature, we would donate $1. And sure enough, there were over 250 guests at the event to sign. After the event, we took the Q5 back to the dealership and had centered in our showroom for everyone else to sign.
After carefully counting the completely covered Q5, it totaled at 3,286 signatures. We couldn’t have been more excited to give $3,286 to a foundation that serves so many of those battling and recovering from breast cancer.
Even though we’re in the business of finding your perfect Audi, we’re definitely in the business of helping those in need in this beautiful city we call home.
