All of us at Audi of Charlotte are having a hard time containing our excitement of the upcoming camp, iCan Bike! The camp is held from June 19th through the 23rd. We’re proudly sponsoring this week-long camp that teaches 40 children with disabilities how to ride a bike! Autism Charlotte has spearheaded this national program in conjunction with iCan Shine.
This camp brings in highly trained coaches and technicians (and of course with the help of volunteers!) to help teach these children how to ride a conventional two-wheel bike. Children will start off with bikes with uniquely adaptive equipment, and then will gradually pedal on two wheels. Most children that attend the camp are within the autism spectrum, but children with other developmental and/or neurological disorders are welcome to participate as well!
