As we graciously welcome fall after a long and dreadful summer, the much colder weather will be taking over before we know it. Many of you have recently purchased your luxurious, new or used, Audi and we want to take the time to instruct you on making sure your automobile remains in tip-top shape this upcoming winter season, just the way it was when you drove it home.

You may or may not live in the Charlotte area, but if you do, you know good and well the temperatures get low, and not to forget the winds can make it colder. Keeping that in mind, there are some things to keep in mind when taking care of your Audi—and any other car for that matter!

#1. Have An Emergency Kit Ready

Unfortunately, bad things happen when we’re traveling—no matter the distance. You never want to be on the side of the road without anything to help the time go by easier. In this kit, it’s best to pack things like: a flashlight, road flares, a first aid kit, a few blankets, an ice scraper, and of course water. Feel free to add additional items, but these are essential!

#2. Check Your Tires Often

Cold weather can certainly do some damage to your tires, if you’re not careful, that is. Making sure that you have the correct tire pressure and decent tread depth will help those icy, snowy and slippery roads not feel so intimidating. You’ll be in much better hands…or tires in this case! If you aren’t sure, feel free to stop by the dealership and make an appointment with our staff just to be sure before taking a long road trip for the holidays.

#3. Winter-fi Your Fluids

From wiper fluids to engine oil, make sure the fluids are ready for lower temperatures. To make this as easy as can be, schedule your oil change with us and we’ll make sure your Audi has winter-ready fluids running through her veins.

The bottom line, if it’s not already obvious, is that we want your vehicle to run properly and save you money in the long run by taking great care of what you’ve spent your money on. Here at Audi of Charlotte, you’re always in good hands. Give us a call, or come by and see us!
