Like other automakers out there, Audi is developing self-driving cars in the hope of making driving safer. Of course, the concept of a car that drives itself doesn't necessarily seem safer to drivers who are used to always being in charge.
"Building faith in autonomous technology is pivotal for Audi," Dino Grandoni writes in The New York Times, "which says that in the next three years it will sell a luxury sedan that can control itself in a traffic jam — a driving experience that fries the nerves of human drivers but doesn’t faze computers."
