Last time on our blog we had chuckling over the latest Audi commercial for TDI models. So it's a pretty big coincidence that we are here once again with more clean diesel news.

It was just announced this morning at the New York Auto Show that Audi will in fact be sharing the A3 TDI Sportback with the U.S. during the 2016 model year. There has been an outpouring of support for diesel drivetrains in the past year, and since 2009 Audi has sold a total of 37,500 TDI models in the U.S. alone.

Check out what the A3 Sportback will look like in this short video:

This exciting new model will be powered by a 2.0-liter TDI clean diesel engine that can reach 150 horsepower and is paired with a six-speed manual S Tronic transmission. Drivers will also be able to load the TDI Sportback with all the same great tech that can be found in all other Audi A3 models.

The A3 TDI Sportback won't hit the market until summer of 2015, so you have plenty of time to pay us a visit here at the Audi of Charlotte showroom and get all the details. Stop in any time and explore our whole new Audi inventory. Hope to see you soon.
