The popular Audi TT compact sports car first appeared in the new Audi lineup about 15 years ago, debuting in 1998.
The Audi TT has maintained high sales through two overhauls, which freshened up its look with minor edits. To date Audi has sold just over half a million of the TT making ti one of the most popular in Audi's history.And, to celebrate that half-millionth model milestone, Audi is creating a very special edition of its TT: the Audi TTS competition of which only 500 units will be available..
The TTS will be available in a Coupe and Roadster versions, each of which is fitted with a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine which is able to generate up to 272 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque.
The TTS competition also features Audi's innovative Quattro all-wheel drive system coupled with either a manual or dual-clutch six-speed automatic transmission. Performance for the vehicle includes a zero-to-sixty-two sprint time of just 5.3 seconds.
Another unique and exciting aspect of the Audi TTS competition is its available color options including a vibrant Imola Yellow color and a more demure Nimbus Gray.
