It was not long ago that Audi first announced its bold sales goal of two million units by 2020. Many critics called the automaker 'crazy' to boast such a high number. We at Audi of Charlotte knew the number was realistic.

The doubters are starting to talk a little less, now that Audi has hit the 1.5 million mark and with ease, considering the accomplishment is happening two years ahead of schedule.

With this milestone in sales, Audi is now celebrating its 34th consecutive month of shattering previous sales records, which further proves things are going more than all right for the auto brand.

How did October 2013 look in numbers? Initial reports say the automaker had an 11 percent increase in sales when compared to this time last year. With 13,001 vehicles sold, Audi's year-to-date sales are now well over 127,000 units.

With so many great-looking models on our lot, Charlotte area drivers are probably interested in which models were the most popular - let us break down th U.S. dealer sales for October by model.

Audi Vehicle Sales for October 2013:

  • Audi A4: Sold 3,040 units, which is a 10.9 percent surge in year-over-year
