Drivers of the 2012 Audi Q5 in the Charlotte area had a host of options when it came to deciding what they would like to power the luxury SUV under the hood. Both the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and the performance-driven 3.2-liter DOHC V6 supply Q5 owners with a favorable experience on the road, but in an effort to diversify and attract even more drivers, Audi is upping the engine options for 2013 models.

Now, the Audi Q5 could have six engine options available, with different ones being installed in the SUV in various parts of the world. Which ones will be available on our lot at Audi of Charlotte, we can't say for sure, but we do know they will be divided into three categories: gas-, diesel-, and hybrid-powered. Most will continue to stay on the 2TFSI platform for its power and efficiency as a four-cylinder engine.

The other four-cylinder engine that offers more power comes in the form of a 2.0-liter gas-electric engine that ups the horsepower by 20-34 depending on which Audi Q5 you drive.

Two V6 options both come as 3.0-liter engines that each pump out over 200 horsepower and twice as much torque as non-V6 options. The Audi Q5 V6 grouping is highlighted by a supercharged engine that can be found in both the 2012 Audi A6 and the Audi A7 and races out to 60 miles per hour in under six seconds.
